The PLA’s Executive Committee is delighted to invite you to a seminar and discussion on key aspects of the Procurement Bill, with presentations from Michael Bowsher KC (Monckton Chambers), Nigel Giffin KC (11KBW) and Fionnuala McCredie KC (Keating Chambers).
The event will take place, in person, at Freshfields’ London office on Wednesday, 18 October between 5pm and 6.15pm. Registration will commence at 4.30pm.
The presentations will include consideration of:
- the new Act’s transparency obligations,
- the new Act’s ramifications on the court’s role in reviewing contracting authority decisions; and
- “Making MAT matter”; how will MAT bring in new policy areas and how will the implementation of the National Procurement Policy Statement make a difference to decisions (and who’s going to be enforcing all this).
There will be a discussion after each presentation and an opportunity to raise questions. The seminar will be followed by a drinks reception.
A recording of the event will also be made available for a limited time to members after the event, via a password-protected web link.
The event is free for PLA members. You can join the PLA online at Membership – Procurement Lawyers’ Association. Annual membership is free for those who are less than 3 years qualified.
