Rosie Choueka Memorial Essay Prize 2022-2023: RESULTS
Thank you to everyone who took part in the 2022-2023 PLA annual essay competition in memory of Rosie Choueka. We would like to also take this opportunity to thank the judges: Peter Ware, Browne Jacobson; Emily Heard, Bevan Brittan; John Houlden, Burges Salmon; Kieran McGaughey, Lawyers in Local Government; Anthony Woolich, HFW; Kuldip Dhanoya, TLT and Lisa Boyd, Gately Tweed. Thank you also to Rebecca Rees, Trowers & Hamlins, for her assistance in organising the competition. The results are as follows:
- First place – Jamie Dickson of Burness Paull (a previous placed winner!);
- Second place – Owen Benham of the Government Legal Department; and
- Third place – Francesca Jackson (Lancaster University).
The winner will receive £2000, the runner-up £1000; and the third placed entrant £500. All of the judges thought that this year’s entries were of a particularly high quality.
